In a mailing list, a question arose why this year BPK website had not published BPK reports on the audit results as usuallly in previous years. Then came the debate about whether or not the report should be published. Here I publish one's opinions on the debate:
Regards,
In my opinion, the publication is very necessary, very
important and must as soon as possible. The publication will be useful for all
parties.
In connection with the previous comments, about the arrogance, what happens is there is no 'arms length transactions' in the interaction between the BPK auditor and the auditee (particularly Local Government Prov / District / City) or the 'level playing field' that is not balanced.
I, since June 1, 2009 or five months of FY 2008 ended, always look forward to the publication of BPK audit reports of LKPP and LKPD (for LKPP already published).
I hope someday there is a kind of 'examination' from the accounting profession institutions (auditors), IAI or IAPI boards, to the audit opinion already given by BPK (were the opinion given by the BPK institution or by BPK agency employees?).
Thank you.
